Trick also useful and great at unblocking facebook making it harder for web filters to know your visiting the site because its encrypted. Here are the basic beginner steps for a person at school or at work looking to unblock facebook or youtube.
1.Open your internet browser.
2.Visit facebook.com
3.Look close at the Url as you will notice it defaults to http://facebook.com and not https://facebook.com.
4.You need to add the s in http to make it https://
5.The https means your now going to be visiting an encrypted web page.
6.Change your url to https verion a retry to connect to facebook.com through a https connection.
Forcing a https connection in some cases may be necessary to maintain privacy on facebook.com. You can change these account settings once logged into facebook.com. Simply follow these steps…
1.Log into your facebook account.
2.On the top right you will see a down arrow just to the right of the word Home.
3.Click on the down arrow and select account settings.
4.Left hand column on the settings page you will see a set of tabs.
5.Just below the General tab is a tab called Security.
6.Select the security tab in your settings menu.
7.On the Security Settings page the second down option is called Secure Browsing.
8.Select edit for this settings option.
9.A box with an option to “Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) when possible” will appear.
10.Check the box to “Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) when possible”
11.Button below the check box becomes available when option is selected to Save Changes.
12.Click on the button to Save Changes as it says above.
13.The option will now change to enabled for secured browsing when possible.
14.Refresh the page is your not already browsing with https in your web page.
15.Now from your computer through any wifi you use and any other networks your connection passes through to visit facebook will now be encrypted and no one but you will be able to visit that site.
Enabling encryption is important and adding the https is good to use whenever possible as people have used programs like wifi sniffers to sniff for cookies over unencrypted wifi connections and even if they don’t have your password they could have session cookie to login.
